My first choice would be gun control.
All of the canidates support guns but they do not support the ownership of automatic assult riffles, so it really isnt a gun control bill really it is more of a can we eliminate the guns period bill. But the republicans have a better course of action than the democrats because they want to be able to purchase guns where dems. are more towrds the making it illeagal to have guns without special permits and licences, even for deer rifles which i also own one of.

My second choice would be social security.
Both republicans and democrats see that we have a future problem with s.s. and it needs to be fixed. I stand with Dem. Mike Gravek, Rep. John McCain, and Ron Paul because they all beleive that money that we put in is money we should be able to use not anyone else.

My word paper had a few stratagies but the main one i used was the fact that it has so many uses and it is very versitile and covers a wide variety of words while people still understand the meaning, but since it does have multipule meanings it becomes a magical word that would be silly to not use and it is great for the possibilities to use this word in many ways and and forms and then i went on through out the paper with different forms of satsfaction for example: satisfied, satisfaction, satisfactory, unsatisfactory, and more but with those they control a large range of emotions, items, people, and sometimes even the weather. i also used the fact that you can also use it when dissapointed, or frustrated, and even mad. this is a great paper to write about the view is very large on this word, because this word has almost no limits. the logos, pathos, and ethos are still a little uncertain or me but i am working on it to hopefully become better at not only identifying and writting them.

The blog I chose is by Eric LaReed and he stated his whole blog on why making English the official language of the United States is such a good idea. This is stated and backed up with polls and facts of what the United States has been doing since the beginning. They went out and polled several countries and they all came up with 90% and higher for all countries that said English was a must to be successful in the world. The fact that we are also a melting pot it is stated that English is the binding factor in this melting pot bringing everyone together as one which is why English should be our official language. So I am in thorough support of this blog and will vote at anytime to pass this into law to make it so it is the official language because I do not wish to see our unofficial “official” language changed if it ever was which it probably will not I would be so very disappointed with this country. To wrap it up LaReed says that as making English our official language we become one step closer to being a country and as a true melting pot.

Journal # 1 Prompt: In the past you have probably never paid attention to whether or not you were appealing to your readers' logic, emotion, or character. Go back and think of times when you have written and have done so. Do you have an idea of how to appeal to your reader? What of these three appeals will you need to work on the most? Are you good at giving examples? Are you pretty logical? Do you know how to sound like a good, moral person? Spend some time writing about these three appeals and how you perhaps compare to the author you are analyzing and how you measure up and what you need to work on.

Back in high school and earlier i did not really have to focus on writing for a reader or told to try to intreague readers to read the rest of it but in high school that did change i was told to focus on writing to attract an audiance. I have realized since then that i need to work on my writting style because even though i have very good if not a little strong of ideas i cannot really express them i ways that would influence the reader to keep going and read the entire piece. I feel that it may be getting better in my writtings for i know what a reader may want and i feel that if i can read it all the way through i think that a if i could get the thesis taken carereader could stand to read it. So if my writtings appeal to me and it has a few catches in there it will appeal to the reader. The emotion would have to be the main one i would work on because if you can play on their emotions because it would start with the beginning catch or intro where i would so to say "set the hook" and the rest of the paragraph would be reeling them in and my conclusion would be neting the fish giving you the perfect paper but i have not yet acheived that point yet but i think i have a start at it. i am good at giving examples if i am passionate about the work that i am doing if you could not tell if it is fishing i could write for days and and write it the best i could and it would be a very good article with examples of my past and what i would do under what situation but if it was something else on which i do not have a whole lot of knowledge on i can only give limited details and examples. I feel that i am logical because i do not do things that are not plausible nor do i write about fantasy and make-believe. I do not think i know what a true good, moral person is but then again who is a good, moral person anyway and who is the one to make that decision.

Definition/ debate for the brute story
Brute- A person who voluntarily uses force or wrongful force against another.
I think that the doctor is the brute in this story because even though he was tired and cranky but even though the drunken man was out of control I feel that the drunk was way to drunk to actually have control over his body. And I do not think you can be a brute if you do not have control over it or know any better about it and the drunk man with the gash man have been bad to the cops but how do you know he was trying to get the doctor what if he was just afraid of needles and the doctor knowing full well that the drunk man could not hurt him intentionally sewed the mans ears to the bed and that cruel intentional smile that was intended to be mean, while the drunk was not intentional to cause harm to the doctor. Even though in the drunks current state he probably could not fell it it’s still uncalled for and I feel that is the reason the doctor is the brute. How can you consider a person a brute if they have no control over what they are doing and they will not remember it if they are that drunk so I can not possible consider the drunk black man a brute.

4.
(law) the payment of a debt or fulfillment of an obligation; "the full and final satisfaction of the claim"
5.

The word satisfaction has many meanings and most of them are based on the person because I am almost certain that my view of satisfaction is different than anybody else because there are many things, ways, and emotions to be satisfied and there are also words which are closely associated with it like: value, experience, views, projects, ability, and more. The word satisfaction connects with so many other words that you could just merge them all together because they all will work as one as it is. so they will always differ from person to person. I will first take a look at things of value they can have extreme value but one may not like it or be willing to buy it but another would be willing to pay more than the price because that item will satisfy them because they will have wanted the item. When you are say buying an item on e-bay and are bidding against someone and you win that bid you not only get the item but the also the satisfaction of beating another person for that item. I will explain what gives me satisfaction because of the fact that satisfaction can and usually does vary from person to person. I am satisfied when I go ice fishing if I catch fish I am more than satisfied I’m ecstatic but yet if I don’t catch anything I am satisfied that I can be out there doing something I like. I will try to generalize here with say cars if you were to own a 1989 ford pinto hatch back with rust on the sides and dents all over and then went out and bought a 1997 dodge Dakota with minor scratches and minimal rust you will be satisfied because you no longer have to drive the hatchback. I know I would personally chose the Dakota because it is better but some of you would chose the pinto because it has sentimental value to you which makes you satisfied.
What types of satisfaction do you have? Many say that they don’t hardly ever get the chance to experience satisfaction, but I do believe they do because you can experience satisfaction with little to no effort like say for example you finish a paper that you have been struggling on about a single word and you finally finish it you are probably happy and joyful that it is done which are a few sub areas of satisfaction, so with such a broad area how can you go through the day without feeling some satisfaction whether it be smug, happy, or just a finally done with sense of satisfaction.
Considering the lose ability of this word it makes it easy to use and a great way to express how you feel, what you think of something, and what you think of someone. So someone could say that they found satisfaction in building houses for poor families in an under developed area and that brings them joy and others would think how would anyone get satisfaction out of that, but it is a good cause and is helping someone else without wanting for yourself and they cannot always see the good in things. Let me ask you what are some of the things you partake in that you find satisfaction in, it doesn’t matter how big or little the thing s weather it be a child, or just sitting at home with family, your job (given that you like your profession), gardening, vehicle repairs, there are no wrong ways to answer the question because they can bring satisfaction to anyone as long as they enjoy it.
I have mainly talked about good satisfaction but there are also many types of unsatisfactory but they basically are the opposites of the good for example: you go to a restaurant and the waitress can be good and you can have a satisfactory dinning experience, or you can get the “bad” waitress or waiter who just happens to make your experience unsatisfactory which makes you never want to go there again and that usually leans you to leaving a small tip because of how bad your meal was. I know this is an experience we have all had a “bad” waitress or waiter and think of how that affected your dinner and the outcome of the rest of the evening? This word is fascinating how could you not want to use it, you can use it so many ways and you can tell how someone is feeling by the way they use the word satisfaction.
There can also be satisfactions that are not expressed but merely as a way that says you have finished something or are used on paper to say you have completed something or an item needs to be satisfied for example: the inmate must satisfy 30 days in a correctional facility, or something to that nature, but it is involved without a difference of tone while implying a form of satisfying a need. That is why you are always getting cards at motels that ask about how satisfactory your stay with them was to help make their facilities more satisfactory to others even if you do not benefit from those little questionnaires. Those forms of written satisfaction are what help to make all of our services and sales buildings strive to help you experience satisfaction.
